Mini Autumn Candle Haul

Oh, it's still August? Sorry, I can't hear you over all of my good smelling Bath and Body Works candles. The autumn and winter lines from the beloved candle store (maybe that's a big assumption, but I'm going to go with no) are my absolute favorites, so when I saw that autumn scents were slowly replacing the way-too-sweet summer ones, I freaked out. Not to mention each three-wick candle was going for $12.50 (usually $22.50)? Like, yes PLEASE! I will admit, I went to the shop probably two weeks ago and bought some small sizes of autumn scents because I saw them, but when I went a few days ago, the entire line (or what I think is the entire line) was out, so I went to school sniffing all of the different scents: new ones, old ones, sweet ones, musky ones. I take my time in that store. Finally, I narrowed it down to four three-wick candles and one one-wick. So, without further ado, here are five Bath and Body Works autumn-inspired candles to kick off the fall season.

Autumn.

This is by far my favorite candle from the Bath and Body Works autumn line. The fragrance notes on the bottom lists bright red gala apple as the first scent note and it is definitely the most apparent, but there's more to this candle than your average apple scent: it's fresh and (as listed as the last fragrance note) reminiscent of a Christmas tree (fir balsam). It's a good way to get your place smelling like the colder season and I'm completely in love with it.

Chocolate Pistachios.

Honestly, I'm not too in love with this candle, but it's the first time I've seen it on this line, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's nutty and sweet all at the same time--just as the name suggests--so we'll see if it's too nutty to enjoy whist it burns. However, the scent is slightly suggestive of the Christmas season, so I won't be lighting this one until towards the end of the fall season, or maybe even until Thanksgiving. It seems like a good candle for the food-y time of year.

Cider Lane.

You know when you dip apples in warm caramel? This candle literally smells exactly like that. It's definitely sweeter than what I normally go for, but oh my God, I love the scent so much I just couldn't put it down. The fragrance notes list clove as the final ingredient, and although subtle, the clove is still noticeable. I think this one will be the perfect kitchen candle once the weather gets colder! I can't wait to light it!

Marshmallow Fireside.

Just like Cider Lane, Marshmallow Fireside is sweeter than what I typically go for in a candle scent. However, the scent of fire is absolutely apparent in this candle, and since campfire is one of my all-time favorite smells, I had to purchase this one. I've already burned a fair bit of the candle and it's turned out to be a really nice transition candle from summer to fall. It just makes me want to curl up in a blanket and get cozy, but if I had to go hang out outside, this candle wouldn't deter me by any means.

Leaves.

I burned through this candle last autumn, so of course I re-purchased it this year. I bought a one-wick simply because I know if I bought a bigger one, I'd give no other candles any love besides this one and Autumn. The candle smells just like warm apple cider: spicy and fruity. Just smelling it makes my mouth water! All I need when this candle is lit is a Harry Potter marathon and I'm set for the changing leaves and the nasty breeze.
